As enterprises invest in DX initiatives to take advantage of important technological advances, one fact is becoming clear: DX requires network transformation as well. Network infrastructure provides connectivity across all components of an enterprise, enables internal and external users to connect to the cloud, and is a central place to monitor and secure operations.

IDC - A Cloud-First Approach for a Value Driven DX Strategy for the Middle East Region

According to IDC, the current pandemic situation has revealed that organizations that invest in digital transformation (DX) and cloud solutions are better placed to respond to these unprecedented times. Middle East and North Africa (MENA) organizations that do not invest in cloud solutions are expected to suffer greater operational risks, even though they may have put off such investments due to security concerns.

Highlights:

DX Readiness - Global enterprises operating in the region are in a stronger position than local organizations relatively, as they follow global best practices and have already invested in DX to adopt to changing business needs
New Business Models - In the Middle East, organizations are adopting new business models that will allow them to increase agility and efficiency, drive growth, and create superior customer experiences despite the present economic instability caused by depreciating oil prices and the COVID-19 pandemic
Hybrid Cloud Strategy - Enterprises are adopting a hybrid multicloud strategy to strike a balance between control, specialization, security, agility, elasticity, and scalability
